The new Institute of Physics in Nice, INPHYNI for short, is a merger of the Condensed Matter Physics Laboratory and the Nonlinear Institute of the University of Nice. The new building in the heart of the Nice-Méridia Technology Park has been specially designed to accommodate researchers and scientists in an area of around 5,000 m2 and is intended to promote collaboration between research and development and training programmes in the fields of green growth, the environment and health. To this end, a longitudinal link was created between the office and laboratory spaces. The building is divided into four scientific axes with additional rooms for administration, services and a showroom. The first two floors in concrete construction with white metal mesh house around 60 physics laboratories and research rooms. The offices, meeting rooms and common rooms are located above the laboratories, separated by a cavity joint, and were built by us in timber frame construction. A spacious roof garden is accessible from the 2nd floor, creating recreational space and opportunities for dialogue with a view of the park.
Wir haben die Holzrahmenkonstruktionen für das 2. Und 3. Stockwerk als tragende Struktur aus Brettschichtholz entworfen. Darin integriert haben wir die Holz-Beton-Verbunddecken, was den ökologischen Fußabdruck des Gebäudes minimiert und den Forschern und Wissenschaftlern einen gesunden und einladenden Arbeitsplatz bietet. Die Holz-Beton-Verbunddecken haben wir mit tragenden Balken aus Fichtenlamellen hergestellt, die über SBB-Verbinder mit der Betonplatte zusammenwirken. Mit diesem Materialmix haben wir die unterschiedlichen Vorteile von Holz, Stahl und Beton zur Entfaltung gebracht.
