Glulam Production Capabilities
Structural Timber Components for Demanding Projects

Our production facilities are designed for industrial-scale glulam manufacturing with high flexibility and precision.
We produce:
- Straight beams
- Curved beams
- Individually shaped beams
- Block glued and composite glulam elements
Structural elements can be manufactured in lengths of up to 50 metres, enabling applications such as long-span roof structures, multistorey timber buildings and complex structural systems.
Columns and beams for multistorey construction can be produced in single-section widths up to 280 mm, while composite sections allow significantly larger cross-sections where required.
High load-bearing capacity, dimensional stability and efficient material use define every glulam component we deliver.
CNC Machining for Structural Timber
Digital Timber Engineering with Industrial Precision

Precision in timber engineering begins with digital data.
Using advanced CNC machining centres, we process glulam components directly from project-specific BVN or BVX files. This digital workflow ensures the exact implementation of your structural design with millimetre accuracy.
Our CNC machining capabilities include:
- Precise drilling and routing
- Detailed joint preparation
- Processing of columns and beams for multistorey buildings
By transferring engineering data directly into production, we reduce on-site adjustments and support a smooth and predictable installation process.
Precision in the workshop means efficiency on site.
Ready for Assembly Glulam Components
Prefabrication That Reduces Construction Time
Modern timber construction increasingly benefits from high levels of prefabrication. By integrating critical structural components directly in the factory, we reduce interfaces and improve installation efficiency.

We offer factory installation of:
- Reinforcement screws
- Concealed steel connectors
- Column-to-beam connectors
- Support plates and neoprene bearings
Connectors can either be supplied by the client or included within our scope of supply.
To protect the glulam components during transport and installation, we also provide coating solutions such as:
- Surface protection during transport and installation
- UV protection against discoloration
- Protection against insects and fungi
- Termite protection
- Transparent and stained coatings
By integrating machining, connector installation and surface protection at the factory level, we support efficient construction processes and reliable on-site assembly.

FAQ´s
As an international supply partner, Rubner supplies a broad range of glued laminated timber products and Glulam components. These include straight glulam beams, curved beams, individually shaped components, composite components and ready-to-install kit solutions. Components can be manufactured in lengths of up to 50 metres. The offering is aimed at construction companies, building contractors, timber construction companies, general contractors and timber specialists worldwide.
Rubner produces glued laminated timber in accordance with the European standard EN 14080:2013 and processes PEFC-certified timber from sustainably managed forests. Production processes are continuously monitored and certified externally by accredited institutes. This ensures traceability, consistent product quality and documented technical standards. Certificates, declarations of performance and technical documentation are available for planners, construction companies and project partners.
Rubner processes spruce, larch and pine for glued laminated timber in various strength classes. Spruce is available in classes GL24H to GL32H, larch in GL24H and GL28C, pine in GL24H – also pressure-impregnated on request. Standard widths range from 80 to 280 mm. For greater structural requirements, composite components and larger cross-sections can be realised on a project-specific basis.
Rubner processes glued laminated timber components using CNC technology directly on the basis of project-specific BVN or BVX files. The digital workflow enables precise drilling, milling, slotting and preparation of timber connectors. Through direct data transfer to production, sources of error are reduced, on-site adjustments minimised and assembly processes prepared more efficiently.
Rubner coordinates international logistics solutions for glued laminated timber and Glulam components, tailored to the project, assembly schedule and destination country. Deliveries are possible ex works as well as DAP, CFR and CIF in accordance with Incoterms. The range of services includes standard transport, special transport, container transport and overseas transport by Ro-Ro or Breakbulk. On request, Rubner also provides support with export customs clearance. Components are packaged ready for installation, sorted and delivered according to the assembly sequence.
Factory prefabrication of glued laminated timber and Glulam components increases precision, quality assurance and efficiency on site. Rubner can already integrate reinforcement screws, concealed steel connectors, column-beam connectors, bearing details and neoprene bearings in the factory. In addition, protective coatings against UV radiation, insects, fungi and termites are possible. This reduces interfaces, shortens assembly times and prepares components on a project-specific basis for installation.
Glued laminated timber, also known as BSH or Glulam, is a load-bearing engineered wood product made from bonded timber laminations. It is used in engineered timber construction for beams, columns, roof structures, hall structures, bridges, special structures and large-volume timber construction projects. Thanks to its high load-bearing capacity, dimensional stability and plannable quality, glued laminated timber is particularly suitable for demanding constructions with large spans.
Rubner is particularly relevant as a glued laminated timber supplier for construction companies, timber construction companies, general contractors, building contractors, project developers and timber specialists. The offering is suitable for partners who require load-bearing glued laminated timber components, ready-to-install Glulam elements or project-specifically processed timber components for international construction projects.
For the production of glued laminated timber components, Rubner requires project-specific planning data, technical drawings and digital production data such as BVN or BVX files. On this basis, CNC processing, drilling, milling, slotting, fasteners and assembly preparation can be precisely planned. The better the digital data is prepared, the more efficiently production and assembly can be implemented.
