The Julien Duret School Group comprises a ground floor + 3 storey school building and a gymnasium. It was built under the authority of the City of Lyon and designed by the city’s architects. This project underlines our ability to manage large-scale timber construction projects.
The gymnasium at the Groupe Scolaire Julien Duret features a glulam structure that is both robust and attractive. This gymnasium is a perfect example of how wood can be used to create sustainable, welcoming spaces.
For this project, we used advanced construction techniques, including :
- 2,730 m² of timber-framed walls and 185 m3 of glulam post-and-beam timber for optimum thermal and acoustic insulation.
- 4,300 m² of Cofradal connected concrete floors, combining the lightness of wood and the strength of concrete for durable, resistant structures.
- 11 tonnes of metal framework, integrated to reinforce the structure and guarantee its longevity.
Completed in 2021, it is a perfect illustration of our expertise and commitment to sustainable, innovative construction.
