04 Factory production and prefabrication in timber construction
Precision begins in the factory
The quality of a timber construction project is determined long before the first components arrive on site. It begins where design meets production.
In the factory. Under controlled conditions, with high precision and a clear objective: maximum prefabrication.
- Prefabrication as the key to a project’s success
- Quality through industrial production
- Processes meticulously planned down to the smallest detail
- Production capacity that makes large-scale projects possible
- Logistics as part of production
A high degree of prefabrication is not a side effect but a conscious choice.
The more activities are transferred to the factory, the better we can control quality, deadlines and processes. At the same time, the workload on site is significantly reduced.
Our aim is to prefabricate components as much as possible, thereby laying the foundations for rapid, safe and efficient construction.
In our production facilities we manufacture timber components under consistent conditions and according to clearly defined processes.
Using state-of-the-art equipment and precise production techniques, we manufacture
- load-bearing structures
- elements for walls, floors and roofs
- complex components with integrated functions
This industrial production ensures consistently high quality, minimises sources of error and enhances reliability.
Production is based directly on our factory and assembly planning. Every component is precisely defined and manufactured accordingly.
This includes, among other things
- precise CNC cuts and assembly data
- layered components and integrated connections
- interfaces designed for further work
- openings, recessed elements or prefabricated systems
This results in components that can be assembled on site with millimetre precision.
Thanks to the close interconnection among our production facilities across Europe we are able to reliably deliver even large and complex projects.
We have a production capacity of
- 85,000 m³ of glulam
- 250,000 m² of roof and wall elements
- 10,000 m² of glulam panels
Cross-site workload planning ensures that production processes are managed efficiently without bottlenecks.
Prefabrication does not end at the factory. It also includes the careful organisation of transport and delivery.
Components are manufactured and loaded in such a way that they arrive on site in the correct sequence. This enables smooth assembly and minimises on-site storage space.
Sustainability through efficiency
Factory prefabrication makes a significant contribution to a resource-efficient construction process.
- Material usage is optimised
- Waste is reduced
- Transport routes are planned
- Construction times are shortened
This results in solutions that are not only precise but also sustainable.
