Smart Site Monitoring
Our Innovation Day partner Oculai uses cameras installed on construction cranes and artificial intelligence to record construction progress and all processes on site automatically and in real time.The technology independently identifies individual work steps and building components, and converts this information without any manual effort into digital daily construction reports and up-to-date schedules.
Thanks to this automated documentation, site managers save valuable time on administrative tasks and receive transparent data to boost productivity and reduce costs.

Woodoo transforms low-quality or undervalued timber (French poplar) into an extremely high-performance building material called Augmented Wood™.By compacting the wood at a molecular level, Woodoo endows it with exceptional mechanical properties and remarkable durability, enabling the production of load-bearing components and façade elements that can replace aluminium, reinforced concrete or steel.
This technology offers a low-carbon alternative to conventional building materials – depending on the application, the carbon footprint can be reduced by up to 90 per cent – whilst enabling faster and more cost-effective construction.
Reimagining Timber
Wood K-Plus develops innovative wood and composite materials as well as sustainable manufacturing processes to optimise the use of renewable raw materials in the construction and industrial sectors.One of its key technologies enables what is known as ‘smart timber’, in which invisible sensors are built directly into components to monitor key parameters such as moisture or mechanical stress throughout their entire service life.
This approach protects structures from hidden damage, significantly extends their service life and makes it possible to replace conventional fossil-based materials with environmentally friendly, bio-based alternatives.
