Under one roof
Project Zugliano
In the heart of the province of Vicenza, in the center of a flat town between the hills of Bregonze and those of Sarcedo, there is a truly special Rubner Haus building, made up of eight residential units.
More than a house, it is a small village, inhabited by members of a single family: seventeen people live in the buildings, close but at the same time independent, just like a joyful ecosystem.
The two mirrored structures within which the homes are located occupy approximately 7000 m², in which seven brothers and their parents live, just a few minutes from the large plant nursery which has always been the family business and the place where they all work.
The structure has a modern but very discreet style, with exteriors in soft and bright colours, and is surrounded by 5000 m² of greenery, in which it blends perfectly. On the other hand, the clients, plant nurserymen by work and by passion, undertook the design and construction of this housing complex as if it were a journey towards the search for well-being and naturalness, precisely because they are used to living in greenery, among plants.
The apartments have a common entrance and are made up of three rooms, arranged in the same way in each apartment. The kitchen and living room are in all cases a single space and in addition to the master bathroom there is always a second one for guests. The finishes and furnishings of the individual housing units are personal: they have been chosen by each member of the family, in the Rubner Haus Boutique.
Each apartment is completely independent, each has photovoltaic panels and its own technical room with heat pump. Wherever you enter, in any apartment or room, you perceive enormous living comfort. A constant well-being that has to do with the naturalness of wood and the joy of being with family.
“The planning and construction of this residential complex were stages of a real journey in search of well-being and naturalness, just as it is in our profession: always surrounded by greenery, always surrounded by plants.”
