Project Noci
It has the light and vitality of a young tree, or a shrub that grew spontaneously in the Mediterranean scrub – broom, hawthorn, a prickly oak –, the home of Tiziana and Francesco in the area of Noci, a town in the Terra di Bari enjoying the mild climate due to the proximity to the two seas, the Ionian and the Adriatic.
Like a natural element, this house enters the landscape, to which it is related in colors, shape, and an architectural movement that follows the terrain, modulating the spaces. It develops, in fact, on a single floor of 125 square meters about one meter above the street level, and is accessed through the gentle slope of a ramp. A linear architecture, which still sways on a land of about 1500 square meters
accompanied – almost musically – by the dry-stone walls that are the hallmark of this region. Here, as in all of Puglia, energy efficiency has seen a significant increase, both in existing buildings, with the aim of improving their energy class, and in the design and construction of new structures.
