A poetic serenity
Project Casier
A secret garden connects two houses, following what appear to be the sinuous lines of the nearby Sile river, in the Treviso area: this is the heart of a special project, an extension designed by a daughter, Belinda, for her mother, Enrica, and built by Rubner Haus.
A perfect harmony between natural elements and technology, the garden was designed as a natural external continuation of the internal spaces, which are clean, essential and bright, with the elegance of wood and the care of contemporary and discreet furnishings.
So, with the garden that creates plays of light and flowery and changing views depending on the seasons, the entire project is in line with the context that surrounds it, including a wonderful naturalistic oasis that welcomes countless different species of plants. The oasis almost seems to embrace Belinda’s house and the extension she designed for her mother: a suggestive atmosphere that harmonizes the new spaces with the original building.
Everything is in line with a very precise idea of sustainability and respect for the context, starting from the essential, comfortable and welcoming spaces created for Enrica, which develop on the ground floor maintaining the privacy of both while being connected to Belinda’s house. An aesthetic not far from Japanese wasa-sabi, which recalls the words of the great architect Frank Lloyd Wright: «the result of the art of building should be a poetic serenity».
‘After I had personally convinced myself of the exceptional quality, the technical depth, the materials and the attention to detail that Rubner Haus offers, but also of the availability and friendliness of the staff, the choice for Rubner Haus was very easy.’
