A retreat
in the
Bellunes alps
Project De Silvestro
Calm and quiet, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and from everyday life at work – a retreat out in nature, where you hear nothing but the wind blowing and the birds chirping.
The owner of this Rubner Haus home is an architect herself and made a long-standing dream come true: she turned the old family inn located right in the middle of the Bellunesi Alps into a natural retreat.
A place for relaxation, for recharging your batteries, to develop creative ideas. De Silvestro loves the mountains, and her plans were inspired by the traditional “Stadl” huts. She created an amazing wood home with plenty of windows allowing for great sights of nature while still perfectly fitting the surrounding forests thanks to its shape and colours.
Some days, the architect loves to enjoy some time by herself or spend time with her family out in nature. Some days, she invites her friends from the city to offer them unforgetable experiences out in the mountains and share some of the peace and quiet.
“Nature is my source of inspiration. When I can retire to my new wooden house in the mountains for a few days, I recharge myself with new energy to face the daily working life in the city.”
Arch. Mariachiara De Silvestro, architect & owner
