A new perspective on the dolomites
Hotel Dolomiten, Dobbiaco
In the picturesque town of Toblach in South Tyrol, surrounded by majestic mountains and unspoiled nature, the Hotel Dolomiten has been expanded with the addition of two floors and a spacious terrace.
This turnkey project was executed with a clear focus on the needs of guests and the challenges of construction timelines. The project presented high demands in terms of fire safety, sound insulation, and speed of implementation, as the work needed to be completed between seasons. Thanks to efficient planning and collaboration with architect Michael Baumgartner from office 017, the hotel was completed in time for the next season.
Notably, the elegant wooden cladding, made from thermally treated wood and installed vertically, enhances the aesthetic appeal while also being functional. This choice contributes to a pleasant indoor climate and harmoniously blends into the alpine surroundings. As a result, a modern and comfortable hotel has emerged, offering guests not only breathtaking views of the Dolomites but also a sense of security and style.
