With a well-founded apprenticeship you lay an important foundation for your future career. An apprenticeship is an excellent opportunity to earn your own money immediately and at the same time to build a solid professional foundation that will open up further paths for you in the company.
We will accompany you during your apprenticeship. Your trainer will show you how to put into practice what you have learned at school and will also be there to give you advice and support. After graduation, you can develop further according to your individual strengths and interests, e.g. to become a specialised expert or master craftsman.
Carpenter or carpentry technician
As a carpenter apprentice, you will be working in production or on construction sites. Here you saw, plane, drill and select the right wood. You learn to take exact measurements and work according to plans. By hand or using CAD software, you draw up technical plans for a wide variety of timber constructions and components, e.g. wall and ceiling elements, façades, roof and special constructions. You finish, bind and assemble them.
In the apprenticeship as a carpentry technician offered in Austria, you also gain in-depth knowledge of multi-storey timber construction and focus on the business aspects, e.g. costing and advising the different customer groups.

Joiner
House elements, doors, windows, stairs and special pieces – you can make almost anything out of wood with us. You work with different types of wood, make sketches, learn how to operate CNC machines and woodworking tools safely, glue and put the finishing touches to the workpieces.

Building and fenestration fitter
As part of the apprenticeship as a building and fenestration fitter, you design, plan, manufacture and install all sheet metal components that protect roofs and facades from the weather, e.g. gutters, cladding, roof covers, and thus also contribute to the energy efficiency of buildings.

Wood technician
With the apprenticeship as a wood technician you will become an expert in wood processing. You learn to process wood professionally and to solve both technical and organisational problems in the context of wood processing. You develop and optimise the systems and machines required for the production and manufacturing processes and ensure the quality of the manufactured materials.
Focus on sawing technology
You learn to cut, assess, check and store wood professionally. You also set up, monitor and control wood drying plants and woodworking and processing machines.
Focus on material production
You learn everything about the production of materials such as solid wood panels, chipboard, fibreboard and wood glue products. You operate, monitor and control the machines and systems required for the production of solid wood panels.

Metal technician
With this apprenticeship you will become an expert in metalworking. You learn how to process, weld, cut, shape and drill metal professionally. You will also deal with the efficient design of metalworking processes, the selection of suitable tools for machining and compliance with safety standards.

Mechatronics technician
This apprenticeship combines elements of electronics, mechanics and IT. You learn how to design, set up, implement, maintain and repair complex machines or entire production lines. Your focus is on the configuration of efficient control and automation processes.

Mechanical engineering technician
During this apprenticeship you will learn how to design, plan, build and maintain machines, plants and production facilities. You will learn how to use construction programmes as well as welding equipment and files.

Electrical technician
Here you will learn how to plan, install and maintain electrical and electronic systems. You also deal with structured error analysis and troubleshooting. You program controls, lay cables and lines and assemble control cabinets.

Heating, ventilation and sanitation technician
In this apprenticeship, you plan, install and maintain heating and ventilation systems as well as water and gas supply and disposal systems. You lay the necessary piping systems and install sanitary facilities.

Information technologist
In this apprenticeship you will acquire an important basic understanding of the structure and operation of circuits, computers and networks. You learn how to systematically analyse and correct errors and how to maintain IT equipment. You will also learn about data, databases and the corresponding data transfer techniques. Our IT team in Kiens controls the entire IT landscape of the Rubner Group and supports the colleagues in the various companies: from network technology and IT security to process management, production connections and application development – you can get to know all the important IT areas in the course of your apprenticeship and also specialise according to your strengths.

Application developer/coding
This apprenticeship is all about software development and programming. You learn to analyse customer requirements, to program differently with C#, to systematically test applications and to develop appropriate problem-solving strategies. Furthermore, you deal with database design as well as the creation and administration of databases. Our IT team in Kiens controls the entire IT landscape of the Rubner Group and supports the colleagues in the various companies: from network technology and IT security to process management, production connections and application development – you can get to know all the important IT areas during the course of your apprenticeship and also specialise according to your strengths.
