The journey of Umbral

FROM THE CITY TO THE SEA: THE JOURNEY OF UMBRAL
WHEN SUSTAINABILITY IS INSPIRATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND VISION

A new adventure begins for Umbral, the Temple of Listening, which after the success at the Cross Vision exhibition-event of INTERNI during the FuoriSalone in Milan and a journey of over 800 kilometers, has reached its destination in the north of Sardinia, in Gallura, a stone’s throw from the sea.
It is here, on the grounds of Casa Albini in Aglientu, that the installation, born from the collaboration between Fondazione Albini, Rubner Haus, the Municipality of Aglienti, and three young architects, Memo Sànchez Càrdenas, Carlo Farina, and Veronica Pesenti Rossi, will come to new life as the venue for the residential workshops of the Franco Albini Academy scheduled for this coming autumn.

At the inauguration event with the ribbon cutting, the hostess Paola Albini, president of Fondazione Franco Albini, and Martin Oberhofer, CEO of Rubner Haus, Marco Demuro, mayor of Aglientu, Veronica Pesenti Rossi, designer of Umbral, and many friends from Italy and abroad took part, among them also the famous German singer-songwriter Gregor Meyle.
