Groundbreaking ceremony for a successful future!

Groundbreaking ceremony – a few days ago we were able to give the starting signal for the largest construction project in the company’s history: A state-of-the-art production and administration centre is being built at the Kiens site to replace the almost 50-year-old office and production building. Managing Director Markus Nöckler, President of the Rubner Group Peter Rubner and Vice President Stefan Rubner have taken the spade in hand for this.

With this building project we want to significantly improve the working conditions of our employees and secure the more than 100 high-quality jobs in Kiens for the future. The core of our previous company building dates back to the 1970s. It had reached the end of its service life. Therefore, we could not wait much longer with the construction work, also for reasons of construction safety.

The plan is to build a production hall and an area for administration, as well as a basement with underground parking. Construction will take place in two intensive building campaigns in early and mid-summer, followed by completion work. We expect the first construction lot to be completed this year in September 2023, with the second lot scheduled for mid-2024. An exciting chapter in our company history has begun!
