The Laboratory

Test & trial

Rubner Türen has a great advantage as a company, and we are happy to make use of it: As part of the Rubner Group, we have a well-equipped testing laboratory at our disposal, where we can try out our new developments or prepare for the demanding certifications. We use this for a variety of test runs, the most important of which are listed below.

The best test!

The company's own test laboratory

Driving rain tightness

Splash water - or rain - is the one sticking point with front doors. Door models are tested and improved in the Rubner door laboratory. Newly introduced seals, materials and fittings are tested here. After all, we want low maintenance and satisfied customers!

Burglary protection

Yes, we have burglar tools. And yes, we use them - always in the service of a good cause. Time and again we maltreat our door models with crowbars, screwdrivers and wedges when we want to test out a new idea or a new locking system.

Continuous function test

Open and close and open and close and open and.... This is how it goes for years with house, interior and sliding doors. In the test lab, a simulation of tens of thousands of opening cycles with the robot arm takes only a few days. The test is conclusive and gives us confidence in the long service life of our products.

Pendulum impact test

Sometimes the ball just doesn't go into the goal...and then the door has to withstand something. And there are also less innocent sudden stresses for house and interior doors: kicks from would-be burglars, for example. We simulate this with our miniature wrecking ball.
