Le projet ROOTS illustre tous les atouts de la construction bois en contexte urbain : ce gratte-ciel en bois – le plus haut d’Allemagne – se dresse au cœur de la HafenCity, à Hambourg. Véritable icône architecturale, sa réalisation marque un jalon majeur dans l’histoire de la construction en bois multi-étagée.
Le projet prévoyait la réalisation d’une tour de 20 étages (dont 16 en bois), associée à un deuxième bâtiment de 7 étages, construit majoritairement en bois lui aussi. Le ROOTS accueille des logements, des bureaux et des espaces d’exposition haut de gamme, répartis sur une surface totale de plus de 20 000 m².
Rubner a contribué dès le départ à la réalisation de ce projet d’ampleur en fournissant plus de 5 500 m3 de bois de résineux, dont 4 400 m3 de panneaux CLT et 16 200 m² d’éléments de murs préfabriqués en ossature bois. Les planchers en bois massif d’une épaisseur maximale de 280 mm portent également notre signature.
Le ROOTS ne se distingue pas seulement par sa hauteur, mais aussi par la vision ambitieuse qu’il incarne. Il est la preuve éclatante qu’une conception rigoureuse, une technologie d’avant-garde et un partenaire de confiance sont la clé des projets exemplaires.
