The Casa del Sollievo complex in the west of the city of Ferrara, Italy, covers an area of approx. 12,000 m² and is made up of six building structures. The turnkey structure realised by Rubner Objektbau is the only part of the complex which is made from timber. It will accommodate the patients.
More precisely, it is an L-shaped building with a green roof which accommodates a total of 20 patient rooms. While each room has its own little green area, the building in general is equipped with all the necessary facilities and structures as well as a generous common area/veranda with a view of the structure’s own garden.
While the Casa del Sollievo project was being realised, we were given an additional task in June 2017: building a new roof for the “ex-fienile” building (an existing traditional structure) directly adjacent to the one we constructed.

“As a non-profit organization, it is vital for us that all external companies we cooperate with are not only reliable and highly professional, but value the people they work with just as much as we do. Rubner Objektbau meets all these criteria.”
