A dream that took shape through the corn and maize fields in the Vercelli area, northwestern Italy: the Perron family’s wonderful wooden house was born from the imagination of a child, the owner’s daughter, who drew “a fairy tale’s house with fairies”.
The little designer’s idea was realized by architect Federico Fiorio and Rubner Haus; just like there was a “magic wand”, in one month the “fairy-tale house” became a reality.Built according the criteria of green building, the Perron’s house has simple shapes, linear yet very warm, in complete harmony with the surrounding environment and nature. The gabled roof and the wide windows facing the garden make the building respectful of the landscape and of the architectural traditions of the area, mostly inhabited by farmers. Brightness is another distinguishing feature: the large windows build a continuous dialogue with external nature, warming up the indoor environment when necessary. So, with nature always at hand, the Perron family realized their dream. Just like in every real fairy tale.

"It was very pleasant to have only one interlocutor. We didn't have to go from one supplier to another and we were able to devote ourselves entirely to the material selection."
